Welcome to Immanuel Lutheran Church

"Our sole purpose is to bring people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ" and "Educate children in the discipleship of Jesus Christ"

Welcome to this Divine Worship Service and thank you for being with us! We pray God to nurture us with His Holy Word and the blessed Sacrament of the Lord's Supper (if it is included) and lead us to praise and thank Him as well as encourage each other with the prayers, hymns, and liturgy of this worship service.

The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS) is our connection with other congregations that teach and practice the same Bible-based Christ-centered beliefs; proclaim God's free gift of salvation by grace through spirit-given faith in God's Son, our Savior Jesus Christ; and support and nurture that faith with God's Holy Word and blessed Sacraments in our personal, family and congregational settings. We cordially invite you to speak with our pastors about any related spiritual concerns or questions.

We celebrate the Sacrament of the Lordís Supper (Holy Communion) in some of the services. It is celebrated in the glad confidence and bold confession that it is the sacred means of grace [1] which Jesus Himself instituted; [2] in which God gives us Christ's real body and blood in, with, and under ordinary bread and wine (Matt. 26:26-28a, 1 Cor. 10:24-27); [3] through which He gives to all who commune worthily His grace-gifts of forgiveness (Matt. 26:28b), salvation and eternal life gained by Christ's life, suffering, death, and resurrection; and [4] by which He strengthens our union with Him and each other. Sadly, all who commune unworthily do so to their judgement (1 Cor.11:27-29). In addition, participation in Holy Communion gives a public testimony of agreement with the Bible based beliefs that we teach and practice in this local setting (Acts 2:42; Romans 16:17; 1 Cor. 10:17 & 11:26).

Because we are conscientiously concerned for the spiritual welfare of all worshipers and the sacred sanctity of the Lord's Supper, we follow the historic practice of "closed communion". That is, we reverently restrict participation in Holy Communion to all who [1] have been baptized according to Biblical instruction in a Christian context; [2] have been instructed in and confirmed the same Bible-based beliefs that we teach and practice together with other congregations of the LCMS; [3] continue to believe that the Holy Bible is altogether God-inspired truth; [4] repent of all sins; [5] desire to be reconciled with everyone even as God reconciled us with Himself; and [6] do not affiliate with a church or other organization that teaches and practices beliefs that are different from the Bible-based beliefs that we teach and practice. Therefore, if you are not a member of our congregation and you desire to participate in Holy Communion in our setting for the first time, please speak with one of our pastors before doing so (1 Cor. 4:1).

All worshipers, kindly fill out the Worship & Holy Communion Attendance Registration card located in the pew rack. If you are a visitor, please include your address.
